Understanding endometriosis
An introduction to what endometriosis is, how it can affect someone's life, and why it so often takes years to diagnose.
Speaker and women's health advocate
I've had endometriosis for over twenty years, and I now speak to workplaces, conferences and community groups about women's health and how to be heard when you need care.
I'm a wife and mum from Bangor, and I've spent more than half my life living with an illness most people can't see. I started sharing my experiences on Instagram because I wanted others to have the information I spent years looking for. Over time, more and more people asked if I'd speak about it in person, and that's how the talks began.
When I speak, I try to make endometriosis easier to understand and to leave people feeling a bit more confident about asking for the care they need.
